The Sharp-shinned Hawk is a regular visitor to bird feeders, where it eats birds, not seeds.
They gather in large numbers to migrate, usually in groups of 5,000 or more.
Nests are usually made as a very large platforms, constructed from fresh twigs and lined with bark chips. They`re shaded from above, from the tree`s foliage in which they are constructed. (University of Michigan, 2010)
